Friday I'm in Love

It's Friday!  Thanks for stopping by to see what I'm digging this week.  Don't forget to pop over to the other gals' sites to see what they're loving, too: MishaKendraMary Beth, and Amanda.

ONE: And the Oscar Goes To...

The Academy Awards are this Sunday (yay!), so I watched TCM's And the Oscars Goes To... earlier in the week.  It's a documentary that traces the history of the Oscars.  It includes a break-down of each category, plenty of clips, and interviews with actors, directors, and crew.  Check it out on Netflix.

TWO:  Spriiiing!

I know I have nothing to complain about compared to the rest of the country, buuut I have two palm trees outside of my front I have an inherent expectation that winter will be mild.   Has it been?  Heck no.  The only explanation: there must be some Toros in the atmosphere.  Or, ya know, global warming.  With that said, all I can do is hope for an early, warm spring!

They were pleasant spring days, in which the winter of man’s discontent was thawing as well as the earth, and the life that had lain torpid began to stretch itself.

THREE: Wok Street at Whole Foods

Our Whole Foods is getting some renovations, one of which is the addition of Wok Street.  It's basically a counter where you can get custom-made noodle and rice bowls.  We are seriously lacking in the Asian food sector here in Charleston.  Since it's my favorite, I'm super stoked about the new venue.  Currently, they have a promo pop-up in the store.  The other day, I had a yummy noodle bowl with ginger teriyaki sauce.  The only bummer was that I had to choose between multiple condiments, toppings, and veggies.  Why can't 'all of the above' be a choice?!

FOUR: Bloodline

I loooved Friday Night Lights (the tv show)!  If you've never watched it, what are you waiting for?  Tim Riggins.  Reason enough to watch.  Anyway, Kyle Chandler aka Coach Taylor is in a new show, Bloodline, streaming March 20 on Netflix.  (For the record, no, I don't work for Netflix.)  It also stars Sam Shepard <3 as the patriarch, Sissy Spacek as the matriarch, and Linda Cardellini (what up Freaks and Geeks?!) as the sister.  It's a dramatic, twisty show about a family that lives in the Florida Keys.  When the oldest son returns to the island, dark family secrets are revealed.  Get your lounge pants ready...I feel a binge sesh on the horizon!

A future congrats to all of the winners on Sunday; and a 'Remember, it's an honor just to be nominated' to the not winners!
