ONE: Boho hair accessories
I'm forever pinning pastel hair colors, but know that they're not only difficult to achieve (and maintain), they're also very damaging. Enter colored dread packs. They're an easy way to add subtle color to my blonde locks. Also, I'm loving this floral crown from Anthropologie.
TWO: Vitamin C by Can
I was watching Inherent Vice the other night (too far out for me, great cast, though) and heard this killer song. It's from the 1970s German experimental-rock band, Can. Those drums!!
THREE: New vacuum parts
I looooove to vacuum. It's been my favorite method of cleaning since forever. In 4th grade, at the top of my Christmas list was a Dustbuster (I wonder where I got that idea from[see gif below]). So, you can imagine my disappointment when I was recently spring cleaning and my vacuum started making a loud humming noise. It turned out to be a loose filter. I popped it back in place and continued vacuuming. A few minutes later, the sound was back. I noticed that the rubber on the filter was ripped causing it to dislodge. I temporarily fixed it with a little gorilla glue and electric tape, but I knew I needed some replacement parts. I ordered a few filters and a new brush accessory (#treatyoself). Bonus, I did a quick coupon search and ended up with 33% off and free shipping. (Always check retailmenot.com before ordering anything.) My total was only $16!!! The parts arrived quickly and my Hoover is working better than ever. Yay! (In case you're wondering, yes, I did get that Dustbuster for Christmas in 1994. Thanks, Grandma!)
FOUR: Brick Flicks video
Legos are awesome (unless you step on one)! I'm very into the Lego XBOX games. If you've never played them, try one out...super fun and adorable. Anyway, this little film, made by 15 year-old Morgan Spence, is a promotion for Brick Flicks: 60 Cult Movie Scenes & Posters Made From Legos. It recreates some famous movie clips using Legos.
Have an awesome weekend! And Happy Birthday, Dad!
