Friday I'm in Love

It's Friday!  Thanks for stopping by to see what I'm digging this week.  Don't forget to pop over to the other gals' sites to see what they're loving, too: MishaKendraMary BethAmandaAileen, and Jessica!

ONE: Political 404 pages

With 2016 Presidential campaigns underway, many people are turning to candidates' websites for information on their backgrounds and political view points.  Sometimes, links in these site lead to nowhere resulting in a 404 error page.  Typically, they're boring white screens with black error messages.  Not anymore.  The hippest trend in campaign sites is creative 404 pages.  It's the one area of a serious site where the candidate can appear goofy and fun (unless you're grumpy Rick Santorum).  My two favorites belong to Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.   And let's not forget the 404 OG, President Obama.

TWO: Mother Earth News: Guide To Fresh Food All Year

The dream: buy a piece of land, build a house in the style of Rosehill Cottage from The Holiday, grow my own food, create a roadside flower stand, and have a mini-horse roaming in the background.  In an effort to move this dream an inch closer to reality, I've started researching gardening.  Mother Earth News: Guide To Fresh Food All Year has been one of my favorite resources so far (I bought it at Whole Foods).  It has some really interesting tips.  Did you know consuming leaf lettuce can help you fight UV rays? Have you noticed jewel-toned novelty vegetables at your grocery store?  Those are actually the original colors!  For centuries, farmers have been breeding out the hues to get boring white, green, and orange veggies.  Unfortunately, with the color went the antioxidants.  Look for blue, red, and purple varieties to maximize your intake of healthy nutrients.  Learn more fun info when you pick up your copy!

THREE: Tiny figures

I was at Artist and Craftsman Supply yesterday and saw tiny figures for architectural models.  I love anything extremely miniaturized.  I looked up more when I got home and found a jackpot of teeny people at peoplescale.com.  I feel like there are so many fun crafts you could do with model figures.
